Babel Enterprise

Overview

Babel Enterprise is an Open Source project, it is actually a Security Dashboard with the following features:

  • Babel is able to measure the risk of each asset of a company, or a group of them.
  • Babel evaluates compliance level of any security policy in a company, in order to help to achieve their goals, for instance, whether LOPD, ISO/IEC 27001:2005 policies are being accomplished.
  • Babel manages relevant assets for each one of the companies that Babel controls. This assets are related with managed risk levels.

Babel Enterprise is able gather data from different sources for example:

  • Babel Agents: Babel Agents: Software, multiplatform, they are installed in the company's PCs and it will gather low-level information regarding the OS.
  • Forms: Set of questions that should be answered by the person in charge of the security or by each system's user, and would provide data regarding to the fulfilment of the normatives.
  • Third party integration: By using Babel Collectors, Babel Enterprise is able to integrate itself with many applications and gather data coming from these tools regarding the company's actives security.

All this data is kept in a relational database and it is used to draw a conclusion that would show the security risk level and the grade of fulfilment of a normative.

Babel Enterprise has a Web interface and it allows that all the remote access can be done by using a web browser, without installing any additional software, allowing, therefore, that any user with rights can access all the information, generate real time reports (PDF and HTML)

How works Babel Enterprise ?

  • Babel gather all -relevant- security information from your systems using the Babel Agents.
  • Makes a security index, using each asset's data, using as reference a user defined security policy.
  • Babel makes relations between asset data and a central database with security information, updated periodically by Artica or by yourself.
  • Evaluate what assets have more risk using asset criticity and Babel information, and allow to compare between assets and groups of them.
